
Jarvis El-Amin
Jarvis K. El-Amin was born to Charlie and Jimmie Bell Jones in Dawson, Georgia, October 18, 1959. Jimmie Bell is the second Cousin to Soul Legend “Otis Redding”. Mr. El-Amin is an entrepreneur, author, community organizer and marketing consultant. Formerly an Account Executive for AM1150 WTMP. Jarvis sold over 4,000 copies of his book “From South Georgia to South Africa: The Journey on a Rocky Road to Success”. He is an advocate for Economic and Political Empowerment. He has been involved in Voter Registration and Voter Education for many years.
Mr. El-Amin has volunteered for many organizations in our community. He is a Founding Board Member for Masjid An-Nasr. He is Founding Board Member Emage-USA a Muslim Civic Education Organization, Founding Board Member for the Tampa Bay Muslim Alliance that sponsor the Annual Charity Festival, Member of the Executive Committee of the Local NAACP, President and Co-Founder Regional Black Chamber of Commerce. Founding Board Member for Tampa Chapter of CAIR, Founding Member of Candy Lowe Conversation & Tea a Social Discussion Group and also a former Board member of WMNF 88.5 Community Radio.
