Know Your Numbers
Voter participation is directly related to better self-reported health, including better psychological well-being and more positive emotional health. The Know Your Numbers Campaign will educate the community about the connection between their vote and their health. Community members will see how the number of votes needed to elect their local officials such as: Board of County Commissioners, Judges, City Council, Mayor, etc… is connected to their vital sign numbers (blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate, oxygen, and BMI). The Political Determinants of Health (PDOH) is the systemic process of structuring relationships, distributing resources, and administering power to shape opportunities that either advance health equity or exacerbate health inequities. PDOH create the social drivers that affect all other dynamics of health that ultimately impact the conditions of our lives.Youth Doing Justice
Our organization is actively engaging youth doing justice. Giving our youth causes to champion and teaching them advocacy is our way of doing our part to decrease community violence and promote healthier communities. When youth is out canvassing neighborhoods to raise awareness of health and wellness activities, they are doing justice! When youth are attending and speaking before the Board of County Commission, City Council, School Board etc… they are doing justice! EnVision Resolution gives youth a pathway to do justice transforming change to communities one zip code at a time.
