Ms. Allison Rapp is the National Program Office (NPO) Coordinator for PHEALESS at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Public Health (COPH)’s USF Center for Leadership in Public Health Practice. She oversees the administrative functions of the NPO including the project team, assigning responsibilities, supervising support personnel, and managing schedules and resources to ensure the timely completion of milestones, incorporating all operational requisites, reporting obligations, and related deliverables. Ms. Rapp formulates strategic recommendations and works with the Co-Project Investigators and stakeholders to identify necessary steps to carry out the work plan. In coordinating the activities of the NPO, she works closely with the PHEARLESS leaders, mentors, advisory board and faculty to ensure a collaborative approach throughout all facets of the initiative. She served as Special Projects Manager for the Health Council of West Central Florida from 2019-2022, she managed community assessments, community health improvement plans, program development and evaluation to improve equity and health access. Allison completed the Non-Profit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay’s Certificate in Leadership and the Leadership Hillsborough program. Prior to coming to the Health Council, Allison worked with Special Olympics Florida to establish health and wellness programing in Tampa Bay. She developed and managed initiatives to address health disparities and provide resources for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Ms. Allison Rapp earned her Master’s of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on physical activity at the University of South Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in Sports and Fitness in 2007 and maintains her Certified Health Education Specialist qualification.  She completed the Non-Profit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay’s Certificate in Leadership and the Leadership Hillsborough program.  She is an active member of the Florida Public Health Association initially taking on the role of student interest group coordinator, then serving as member-at-large from 2018-2021, Second Vice President 2022-2023, and now First Vice President 2023-2024.
